So far this is my childs grades in the grade book. I will be able to verify this tomorrow night when I go to Parent Teacher Conference (i'm a little scared that the Language Arts grade will be less for some reason) BUT... OMG look at the two A's for the 2nd nine weeks already!! I'm so happy and proud of him. He really needs to know just how smart he can be. Last week he was asked to be an Ambassador for his school (I think that means just a slave when the teachers need help, but they picked HIM!) He's also been doing very well playing his trumpet. He played a song for me the other night and it was really pretty. I enjoyed listening to him.
There are other things in my life that are happy things too. LIKE... the insurance company called yesterday and I get to have my car repaired next week. That makes me really happy. The rental car place called me and asked when I needed my replacement car and I asked them for something with 4 doors. I can't stand 2 door cars. Not that it really truly matters. I only have one person in my life that rides in the car with me.
Also, I painted my nails last night. Karen makes fun of me because I paint my nails at least twice a week. But I chose a different color than I normally would. I feel a little bit naughty for this choice.
Midnight Pluuuuuuuuuuuuuums!!!!!
Last Friday was Boss's Day. I didn't really know this until Thursday when I was asked to participate in getting my boss something. She got a card and an iTunes gift card so she can really fill up that iPhone with new apps (Whiz Kid).... so i truly didn't expect anything from my team but they surprised me in a unexpected and sentimental way. They got me a basket of fresh fruit, teas and a cup with my name
So I ordered my Halloween costume last Wednesday night. I think I may have already said what it is. Sookie Stackhouse from Trueblood. I got the Merlotte's bar t-shirt and the apron with the logo on it. I've been debating on whether or not I should buy a blonde wig or just fix my hair like hers and say "screw it, have an imagination". One thing I did find was some fake fang mark tattoos for your neck and the actual Trublood drink that you can order online. It's consumable but a little expensive... so I thought I would improvise. I found a bottle of bbq sause at the grocery store that is shaped very closely... and a print off label online. Karen and I are going to make our OWN Trueblood- we'll show the Japanese just who does it best.
So we are also taking the kids to Boo at the Zoo on Friday night and i'm really excited about that too.... I LOVE the zoo! Maybe I will dress like Sookie then just to try it out!!
So this weeks markerboard mess isn't quite done yet but I took a picture of it anyway because I thought it was funny:

So down in the street is my son Austin... (from here on out let it be known that he will no longer be referred to as Austin because he wants a secret code name too, like Quuuuue.... we'll call him, My Little Jedi Mind Trick Or MLJMT for short)... so MLJMT is standing in the street proclaiming how happy he is that he has finally gotten a grey Peacoat... the Count from Sesame Street is down the road a bit, trying a bottle of that hot new fad Trueblood and the aliens... well, they're still stalking us in an old beat up truck that looks like a guitar case rolling on gumdrops.
It's a good one. I like the diversity in it.
Now I leave this blog on an even more positive note. "You are not fat. You are beautiful." I was told that by Quuuuuue last night during a very odd conversation that we had. One that was needed, not for me necessarily... just needed. So I add this picture... and hope that someday it can be reenacted.
I love you Quuuue.... and MLJMT too!
all of this together is helping with the SADD... and Karen too!
The most kickass pictures ever!
ReplyDeleteI'm so proud of Austin! He is so smart.
Okay so the nail picture reminds me of something. Poison Ivy. I know her poison is in her lips. But YOU could totally be poison ivy and have it in your nails. And just poke people and they die. And then you can yell "POOOOOIIIIIISON!"
Make it happen, number 1.
Thanks! i liked them too. i've been saving up all these really good pics for a the past week. i kinda wish i hadn't cancelled WCN tonight because i feel better now then i did yesterday. but it's too late. and i can't go to Lori's on a school night, MLJMT needs to go to sleep.
ReplyDeleteoh well, life is looking up today a little.
